The goal of this redesign project was to adapt an existing kitchen scale for a new target group: people aged 60 and above. The original product was first analysed in depth to identify its key shortcomings. Through a process of sketching, foam modelling and CAD drawings, I addressed these issues and developed several potential solutions.
The final model was produced entirely with a 3D printer; in production, the parts would be manufactured by injection-moulding ABS plastic.
